Africa – One Land, One Love
The roar of lions, the shrill laughter of hyenas – the African night was alive. A gentle breeze swept across the wide grassy plains, carrying the scent of damp earth and wild blossoms. Distant drumming mingled with the chirping of crickets, creating a melody that existed only here, breathing life into the night.
Lost in thought, she stood on the terrace, the warm wooden planks beneath her bare feet. Her gaze wandered across the seemingly endless savannah, which shimmered like liquid silver in the moonlight. The silence of Africa was never empty – it was always full of life. And right here, in the heart of the wilderness, she had finally found her home.
Two warm hands gently wrapped around her hips, a kiss brushed the nape of her neck. She closed her eyes and smiled. Yes, she had found her home through him as well. Africa without him? Unimaginable. Without him, this world – this land – would be just an empty shell.
„You’re so quiet,“ he whispered, pulling her even closer. His voice was rough, carrying the sound of the years and the stories they had lived together.
She leaned against his chest and took a deep breath. „I’m just thinking. About how it all began. How lost I felt before I came here.“
He softly brushed a strand of hair from her face. „And now?“
She looked up at him, her eyes reflecting the sparkle of the stars. „Now I know I’ve arrived.“
They stood there in silence, united in this moment that belonged only to them. The stars glittered in the endless sky, brighter and more plentiful than anywhere else. In the Boma, the last embers of the campfire glowed, casting a warm light over the sand. A peace she had never known before filled her heart.
„You know,“ she said quietly, „people often chase after things they think will make them happy. Money, success, recognition. But true happiness lies in simplicity. In nature, in the people we love. Here, under this sky, I feel that more clearly than ever.“
He nodded. „The animals follow their instincts, nature follows its rhythm. Only we humans forget, sometimes, how to simply be – how to truly live.“
A breeze carried the scent of burning wood and damp grass. In the distance, the excited barking of a jackal rang out. She felt the wildness around her, but for the first time, she was no longer afraid. Life here was unpredictable, yes, but it was real.
She held him tighter and looked into his eyes. Her scars – everything that had once torn her apart – had healed. Life was beginning anew.
„Let’s go inside, my love,“ she whispered. „Tomorrow is a new day. We still have so much ahead of us.“
He took her hand and gently led her inside. Together, they walked into the house – full of anticipation, full of gratitude.
A new day awaited them.
A new life.
Africa – one land, one love.
